The "Offline Operations" clause defines the rules and procedures that apply when certain activities or services must be conducted without access to online systems or digital connectivity. Typically, this clause outlines how parties should handle transactions, data entry, or communications when internet or network access is unavailable, such as using manual processes or alternative documentation methods. Its core practical function is to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions by providing clear guidance for maintaining operations during periods of offline activity.
Offline Operations. During any failure of the computer connection operating system or when any payments or transactions cannot be performed by the Bank due to other reasons, the Undersigned agrees that the Bank may temporarily cease providing relevant services. In the event that the deposit and withdrawal services of the Bank are rendered offline, when the Undersigned requests any withdrawal, transfer or other transactions by presenting the specimen seal/signature, the available withdrawal amount shall be based on the amount estimated by the Bank before it is able to determine the deposit balance. The Bank may reserve the right of any subsequent recourse.
