Off-Net Clause Samples

The Off-Net clause defines the terms and conditions that apply when services are provided outside the service provider’s own network infrastructure. Typically, this clause clarifies that certain service levels, guarantees, or support commitments may not apply when the service relies on third-party networks or infrastructure not directly controlled by the provider. For example, if a telecommunications company routes calls or data through another carrier’s network, the Off-Net clause would specify any limitations or differences in service quality. Its core function is to allocate risk and set customer expectations regarding service performance and provider responsibility when third-party networks are involved.
Off-Net. Refers to services that may be provided in whole or in part using facilities, equipment and services from other carriers.
Off-Net. For customer locations where LightEdge is required to individually order or provision circuit facilities to transport Customer circuit to nearest LightEdge facility and/or equipment OR to nearest Customer facility and/or equipment. LightEdge will provide Customer with point-to-point network connectivity between two locations. Service will be delivered in the form of a dedicated T1 circuit engineered by LightEdge which will be dependent upon location, bandwidth and/or Services requested. Service will be delivered to customer via one of the following options: - An IP/MPLS based network. - A Clear-channel T1 point-to-point circuit. - A Frame-relay/ATM network. Determination for the delivery method will reside wholly with LightEdge. Service levels of any circuit delivery type are held to the same SLA levels.
Off-Net. Off-Net is defined as those Services/Circuits, which are provided by WIN but do not reside on WIN’s wholly owned facilities. SLA’s are unavailable for Off-Net Third Party Provider Services.
Off-Net. Where the premises falls outside of a coverage area.
Off-Net. From time to time, Beanfield may source a third-party service to complete assembly of a Service. If so, this may entail additional installation charges – and, in the event of Abrupt End (see section 6.2), additional termination fees – that can only be determined after the third-party provider’s own site visit or facilities check. We will inform you of any additional related installation charges, after which you may terminate the Service order within a week.
Off-Net. Traffic that originates from or terminates to any location that is not on the TelNet network.
Off-Net. For Off-Net Services or any other Services provided by a Third Party (including an SBC ILEC), until the later of (i) [***] after the date that such Off-Net Services or other Third Party services are rendered and (ii) [***] after WilTel's receipt of any invoice for Services rendered and billed by such Third Party or SBC Affiliate; provided, however, that the invoice for Services rendered must be received by SBC within [***] of the date such Services were rendered.
Off-Net. The Service Availability, Latency and Packet Loss service level for Internet Advantage and Internet Advantage International Service delivered International Off-Net will be a direct pass through of the service levels, if any, received from Level 3's Off-Net service provider.
Off-Net. All local traffic originated in the Commuted Conventional Telephony Service (STFC) or the Personal Mobile Service (PMS) excluding carriers from the Oi and BRT Personal Mobile Service intended for the mobile accesses of the carriers’ voice portal.

  • RTT Round-‐Trip Time or RTT refers to the time measured from the sending of the first bit of the first packet of the sequence of packets needed to make a request until the reception of the last bit of the last packet of the sequence needed to receive the response. If the client does not receive the whole sequence of packets needed to consider the response as received, the request will be considered unanswered.

  • Unbundled Digital Loops 2.3.1 BellSouth will offer UDLs. UDLs are service specific, will be designed, will be provisioned with test points (where appropriate), and will come standard with OC and a DLR. The various UDLs are intended to support a specific digital transmission scheme or service. 2.3.2 BellSouth shall make available the following UDLs, subject to restrictions set forth herein:

  • NON-NETWORK PROVIDER is a provider that has not entered into a contract with us or any other Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan. For pediatric dental care services, non-network provider is a dentist that has not entered into a contract with us or does not participate in the Dental Coast to Coast Network. For pediatric vision hardware services, a non-network provider is a provider that has not entered into a contract with EyeMed, our vision care service manager.

  • Loop Provisioning Involving Integrated Digital Loop Carriers 2.6.1 Where Freedom has requested an Unbundled Loop and BellSouth uses IDLC systems to provide the local service to the End User and BellSouth has a suitable alternate facility available, BellSouth will make such alternative facilities available to Freedom. If a suitable alternative facility is not available, then to the extent it is technically feasible, BellSouth will implement one of the following alternative arrangements for Freedom (e.g. hairpinning): 1. Roll the circuit(s) from the IDLC to any spare copper that exists to the customer premises. 2. Roll the circuit(s) from the IDLC to an existing DLC that is not integrated. 3. If capacity exists, provide "side-door" porting through the switch. 4. If capacity exists, provide "Digital Access Cross Connect System (DACS)- door" porting (if the IDLC routes through a DACS prior to integration into the switch). 2.6.2 Arrangements 3 and 4 above require the use of a designed circuit. Therefore, non- designed Loops such as the SL1 voice grade and UCL-ND may not be ordered in these cases. 2.6.3 If no alternate facility is available, and upon request from Freedom, and if agreed to by both Parties, BellSouth may utilize its Special Construction (SC) process to determine the additional costs required to provision facilities. Freedom will then have the option of paying the one-time SC rates to place the Loop.

  • Dark Fiber BellSouth agrees to offer access to Dark Fiber where the state commissions have required such access pursuant to the terms and conditions following and at the rates set forth in Attachment 11. The parties agree that Dark Fiber will be used in the provisioning of local service. 13.1.1 Dark Fiber is unused strands of optical fiber. It may be strands of optical fiber existing in aerial or underground structure. No line terminating elements terminated to such strands to operationalize its transmission capabilities will be available. No regeneration or optical amplification will be included with this element.
