Common use of Notice to the Company Clause in Contracts

Notice to the Company. When an employee becomes aware of the fact that he is going to be absent from work due to sickness, accident, or other emergency, he must notify his supervisor as far in advance of his scheduled shift as he/she has knowledge of such intended absence, but no less than one (1) hour before the time he is due to report to work. In the event the employee cannot contact his Supervisor, it is permissible to contact any member of Management.
