Common use of Notice to Centrelink Clause in Contracts

Notice to Centrelink. (a) Where a decision has been made to terminate Employees in the circumstances outlined in the "Consultation Before Terminations" clause, and such a decision may lead to the termination of fifteen (15) Employees or more, the Employer shall notify Centrelink in accordance with section 660 of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 before the terminations take place. The written notice must state the reasons for the terminations, the number and categories of the Employees likely to be affected, the number of workers normally Employed and the period over which the terminations are intended to be carried out.
