Common use of No Unapproved Changes Clause in Contracts

No Unapproved Changes. Contractor shall not perform any Changes to the Work until Owner has approved in writing the proposed adjustments or has expressly authorized Contractor in writing to perform the Change prior to such approval. If Owner does not approve the proposed adjustments and Contractor and Owner are unable mutually to agree upon alternative adjustments, Owner may by written notice to Contractor cancel the Change. Upon receiving from Owner a written approval or written authorization to perform, Contractor shall diligently perform the Change in accordance with and subject to all of the terms of this Agreement. Contractor shall not suspend, in whole or in part, performance of this Agreement during any Dispute over any Change Order unless directed to do so by Owner, and if directed to proceed with a Change or disputed item pending review and agreement upon adjustments, Contractor shall (without waiving any rights with respect to such Change or disputed item) do so.
