Common use of No Strike Commitment Clause in Contracts

No Strike Commitment. ‌ Neither the Union nor any of its employees, officers or agents or employees of the Village covered by this Agreement will instigate, promote, sponsor, engage in, or condone any strike, sympathy strike, slowdown, sit-down, concerted stoppage of work, concerted refusal to perform overtime, concerted, work to the rule situation, mass absenteeism, picketing, except picketing of a scheduled Board of Trustees meeting, or any other intentional interruption or disruption of the operations of the Village, regardless of the reason for so doing. Any or all employees who violate any of the provisions of this Article may be discharged or otherwise disciplined by the Village. Each employee who holds the position of officer or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the Union occupies a position of special trust and responsibility in maintaining and bringing about compliance with the provisions of this Article. The failure to confer a penalty in any instance is not a waiver of such right in any other instance nor is it a precedent.
