Network standards. 19.1 The Parties recognize that CenturyLink services and Network Elements have been purchased and deployed, over time, to Telcordia and CenturyLink technical standards. Specification of standards is built into the CenturyLink purchasing process, whereby vendors incorporate such standards into the equipment CenturyLink purchases. CenturyLink supplements generally held industry standards with CenturyLink Technical Publications. 19.2 The Parties recognize that equipment vendors may manufacture Telecommunications equipment that does not fully incorporate and may differ from industry standards at varying points in time (due to standards development processes and consensus) and either Party may have such equipment in place within its network. Except where otherwise explicitly stated within this Agreement, such equipment is acceptable to the Parties, provided said equipment does not pose a security, service or safety hazard to persons or property.
