NCA Sample Clauses

An NCA, or Non-Compete Agreement, is a contractual clause that restricts one party, typically an employee or contractor, from engaging in business activities that compete with the employer or disclosing sensitive information to competitors for a specified period and within a defined geographic area after the relationship ends. This clause often outlines the types of activities considered competitive and may specify the duration and scope of the restriction. Its core practical function is to protect the employer’s business interests, trade secrets, and client relationships by preventing unfair competition from former employees or associates.
