NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS. 1. Upon application to the Superintendent of Schools, leave of absence shall be granted to a teacher for participation as a competitor or official representing B.C. or Canada in national or international competitions for a period not to exceed twenty-two (22) teaching days provided a suitable Teacher Teaching on Call is obtained where required. The teacher shall be deducted, for each teaching day absent, the cost of the established certified Teacher Teaching on Call rate.
