Modifications and Transition for the Total Disability Benefit. Prior to April 1, 2006 the pension plan provided for total disability benefits. As of April 1, 2006, the plan no longer provides for total disability benefits. Employees who were in receipt of total disability benefits prior to April 1, 2006 will continue to receive these benefits under the same terms and conditions that applied prior to April 1, 2006.

  • Long Term Disability Benefit In the event an employee, while covered under this plan, becomes totally disabled as a result of an accident or a sickness, then, after the employee has been totally disabled for seven (7) months, including periods approved in Section 1.3(a) and (c), he/she shall be eligible to receive a monthly benefit as follows:

  • Effective Date of Benefit Termination Medical, dental and life coverage termination will take effect on the first of the month following the loss of eligible employee or dependent status. Disability benefit coverage terminations will take effect on the day following loss of eligible employee status.
