Miscellaneous Allowances. The following allowances shall apply to employees covered by this MOU.
Miscellaneous Allowances. Present Management policy in regard to ▇▇▇▇- bursement of room, board, transport, mileage and related cost incurred by an employee in the exercise of his outside the employer’s establishment, as well as any modification which may be made to such policy, will be maintained for the term of the present Collective Agree- ment. No employee is obliged, in the service of the employer, to use his private automobile, the use of which is strictly voluntary.

Miscellaneous Allowances. 23.01 The Employer agrees to pay the applicable hourly rates to employees travelling at the request of the Employer on outside work. The Employer has the exclusive right to select the means of travel. Should the employees be authorized to travel on any public transportation system, the Employer sets the travel time to be paid at the scheduled travel time of such public transportation system, plus an allowance of sixty (60) minutes before departure and sixty (60) minutes after arrival in order to allow for travel from home and to place of accommodation or work, at such outside location. Should the employee be required to depart or arrive via Montreal International Airport in Dorval, the allowance will be increased by a further sixty (60) minutes for such departure or arrival. Should the employee be authorized to use his own vehicle, the Employer sets the allowable travel time in advance. For the purposes of this section, outside work is defined as work performed at a location farther than eighty (80) kilometres from Montreal International Airport in Dorval. Employees are paid for the time spent on travel after regular work hours or on Saturdays, Sundays or statutory holidays, when such travel is required in order to attend training courses. Any travel expenses must by justified with receipts. Travel allowances must be determined by the Employer’s rules or those approved by the Employer to consider higher costs in certain specific locations.
23.02 The Employer provides a per diem allowance of fifteen dollars ($15) to cover incidental expenses when an employee is working away from home. While on a training or other type of course, employees do not receive this allowance.
23.03 Employees requested by the Employer to be on standby on a day normally off or on a statutory holiday are paid an allowance of thirty dollars ($30) for each standby day. Employees agree to cooperate, but an employee cannot be subject to disciplinary action for refusing to be on standby. Employees requested to be available on standby will be so on a voluntary basis.
Miscellaneous Allowances. The employer will provide allowances for the employee to continue his education in order to advance the Employer objectives and policies by attending seminars, executive leadership programs and graduate/college course work within the areas of public administration, fire, emergency management and any disciplines within the scope of work assigned, in such amounts as the parties agree. The Employee will discuss any extensive programs and negotiate terms in advance with the City Administrator during their routine meetings when applicable. Employee’s duties require that Employee shall have the exclusive use at all times during employment with the City of an automobile to carry out the business of the City. The City shall provide a suitable (as determined by the City) vehicle, fully equipped, and in suitable condition and working order to perform all City business on a 24 hour – 7 day a week basis. Because the Fire Chief is on call at all times, a de minimis amount of personal use may be made of the City owned vehicle. The Chief shall reside within a 30-minute response time of the City.
Miscellaneous Allowances. 18.1 For the duration of this Agreement, but without commitment for liability thereafter, the Company will continue in force its Accident and Sickness Insurance Plans (Non-occupational and Occupational) substantially as outlined in Exhibit E.
18.2 When a death in an employee’s immediate family (spouse, child, legal guardian, parent, grandparent, grandchild, brother, sister, spouse’s brother or sister, brother or sister’s spouse, spouse’s parent, spouse’s grandparent) requires his absence from work to attend the funeral on a scheduled work day, such employee shall be excused from work and paid for eight (8) hours at his basic wage rate. When circumstances require additional time to make arrangements for the funeral, or to travel to and return from the location where the funeral is held, then the Company will grant additional time off work with pay at the employee’s basic wage rate, provided that the total payment shall not exceed 24 hours’ pay for such absence.
18.3 Employees who are required to perform jury duty shall be paid the difference between their basic pay and the amount received for the performance of jury duty. Employees engaged in jury duty shall, while temporarily excused from attendance in court, report for work assignment during such period.
Miscellaneous Allowances. 24.1 Overtime - Meal Allowance Where an employee is required to work overtime and such overtime is worked for a period of at least two hours in excess of the required daily hours of work, the employee will be provided with a meal free of cost, or will be paid the following sum as meal money:

24.4 A Storeperson required to operate a ride-on power operated fork lift, high lift stacker or high lift stock picker or a power operated overhead traversing hoist in the performance of his/her duties will be paid the following allowance per hour whilst so engaged: Effective Date 1.84% (date of registration) 1.80% (1 year from the date of registration) Rate per hour $0.89 $0.90
24.5 Leading Hand Allowance
(a) An employee other than one whose classification encompasses supervision of other employees will be paid the prescribed allowance, in addition to the ordinary wage, for each shift the employee works when rostered on to be in charge for that shift.
(b) An employee who is not rostered on to be in charge will be paid the prescribed allowance for the whole of the shift if the employee is placed in charge for more than 2 hours on that shift.

Miscellaneous Allowances. All Miscellaneous Allowances have been increased and are effective from 1 August 2007. In the case of Mortuary Attendance Allowance and Ambulance Allowance, the Agreement provides for increases effective 1 August 2007, 1 August 2008 and 1 August 2009. Allowances have been increased and are effective 1 August 2007.
Miscellaneous Allowances. An employee who is required to wear a uniform which is provided by the company at all times while on duty and keeps it in an acceptable state of repair and cleanliness shall be paid an additional amount of $8.31 per week while attending for duty. Where an employee is required to use their own car in performance of their duties, the employee shall be paid an allowance of 52 cents per kilometre for such usage.

18.2 All regular full-time employees are eligible for bereavement leave. Paid leave will be granted for the death of a spouse, registered domestic partner, child, parent, legal guardian, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, or corresponding in-law or step relation. Employees will be paid straight time at their base rate for regularly scheduled hours of
