Mechanical Shock Clause Samples
The Mechanical Shock clause defines the requirements and standards for a product or component to withstand sudden physical impacts or jolts during handling, transportation, or operation. Typically, this clause specifies the types and levels of shock the item must endure, outlines testing procedures, and may reference industry standards for shock resistance. Its core practical function is to ensure that products remain functional and undamaged when subjected to mechanical shocks, thereby reducing the risk of failure and increasing reliability in real-world conditions.
Mechanical Shock. At the manufacturer´s choice the test may be performed as, either
(a) Vehicle based tests in accordance with paragraph 6.4.1.1. of this Regulation, or
(b) Component based tests in accordance with paragraph 6.4.1.2. of this Regulation, or
(c) Any combination of (a) and (b) above, for different direction of vehicle travel.
