Common use of MBE/WBE Clause in Contracts

MBE/WBE. The City has an interest in and policy of encouraging the equitable utilization of Minority-Owned Businesses (MBEs) and Women-Owned Businesses (WBEs). Article 5, Subtitle 28 of the Baltimore City Code (the “City Code”) is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. The updates occur on the internet and can be found at ▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/Government/city CharterCodes.aspx. In identifying available City-certified MBEs and WBEs, the Grantee is encouraged to use the MBE/WBE Directory available from the Minority and Women’s Business Opportunity Office, (▇▇▇) ▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇. A signed copy of the Grantee’s Commitment to Comply or Waiver, as applicable, is attached hereto as Exhibit F and incorporated herein.
