MBE/WBE Status. a. A minority owned business shall be considered an MBE only if it has been certified as a minority business enterprise by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) (formerly known as the Massachusetts State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance “SOMWBA”). b. A woman owned business shall be considered a WBE only if it has been certified as a woman business enterprise by SDO. c. Certification as a disadvantaged business enterprise (“DBE”), certification as an M/WBE by any agency other than SDO, or submission of an application to SDO for certification as an M/WBE shall not confer M/WBE status on a firm for the purposes of this Contract.
