Common use of Materials Management Clause in Contracts

Materials Management. Developer agrees to incorporate infrastructure to support recycling activities on-site, including easy access to recycling chutes and disposal locations near those dedicated for trash, as well as proper signage at each location. Developer agrees to work with the City’s Sustainability Section to utilize best-practices in diverting debris produced in the construction of the development. Following construction, Developer will work with the Sustainability Section to ensure that the property management of the site utilizes best-practices in communicating proper recycling protocol to tenants and has all available resources to assist in this communication.

Following During construction, Developer will work with have a written solid waste program that includes a plan for recycling or reuse of paper, cardboard, plastics and metals; recycling or reuse of lumber scraps; and diversion of masonry, cementitious and possibly gypsum material from the Sustainability Section to ensure that landfill.
