Manner of Holding Securities. (a) The Custodian shall hold securities of the Fund (i) by physical possession of the share certificates or other instruments (including periodic statements representing ownership of uncertified shares of investment companies) representing such securities in registered or bearer form, or the broker's receipts or confirmations for forward contracts, futures contracts, options and similar contracts and securities, or (ii) in book-entry form by a Securities System (as that term is defined in section 2.22) or (iii) by a Foreign Depository (as that term is defined in section 4.2(a)).
