Mandatory Conferences. Employees shall attend a conference or meeting determined by the Director to be necessary for the program. A conference or meeting shall be considered necessary for the program if an employee's attendance at the conference or meeting is required as a condition of receipt by the District of a grant or other source of revenue. No employee will receive less than their regular rate of pay for time spent in any such conference or meeting held during the regular school day. If any such conference is scheduled after regular school hours or other than the teachers' regularly scheduled teaching assignment, teachers shall be paid at their regular hourly rate. The Director or his/her designee will provide written or email notices concerning Mandatory Conferences.
Mandatory Conferences. If the Superintendent or Principal requires an employee to attend a conference, that conference will not be counted as one of the employee’s elective conferences. The District shall be responsible for reasonable expenses. Receipts for all expenses claimed shall be turned in to the administration for review before reimbursement is approved. The Superintendent reserves the right to limit the number of employees out of the district for mandatory and elective conferences on any given day. District #110 will attempt to make available CPDU’s for the district held workshops. Section 9 - School Calendar The superintendent shall prepare three (3) draft school calendars that comply with state law to the Union for approval. The Official School calendar shall then be approved by the School Board and submitted to the Regional Superintendent of Schools. Said Calendar shall include five (5) emergency days. For each unused emergency day, the end date shall be moved one (1) day earlier than the scheduled school end date. For certified employees, upon completion of end-of-the-year work, individual teachers must submit this work for approval by the Superintendent (or his/her designee), prior to being given an early dismissal.
