Making Application for reclassification a) Employees may make application for recognition of additional competencies, using the current Bradken Application form, referencing the relevant Australian Competency Framework- Metals and Engineering Training Package. Applications must include all relevant information and documentation, addressing the Prerequisite and Related Units, Range Statements, Required Knowledge, and Performance Criteria set out in the training package.
b) The Competencies claimed must be required by the Employer for use by the Employee.
c) Applications will be reviewed by a Panel comprising
(i) Mining Service Queensland Lead
(ii) 2 x Employee representatives selected from a group of 4 Employees, nominated by the work group. Representatives might or might not have direct relevant experience in the competencies claimed but will have sufficient experience in MSQ operations to provide informed input to the process.
d) The Panel will meet every two months, according to a published schedule, provided that at least one eligible application has been received, at least one week before the scheduled meeting date.
e) If all relevant information has been provided, the Panel will provide a response to the Application within 10 business days of the last scheduled meeting.
f) Successful reclassifications will take effect the first full pay period on and from the date of the approval.
g) If all relevant information has not been provided, the application will be returned to the Employee. Resubmitted applications will be reviewed at the next scheduled meeting. If successful, resubmitted applications will take effect the first full pay period on and from the date of the approval.
h) Unsuccessful Applicants will be provided with an explanation of why the application was not successful.
