Lower Division Sample Clauses
The "Lower Division" clause defines the allocation or distribution of certain rights, responsibilities, or assets to a specific subset or segment, often referred to as the lower division, within a broader group or organization. In practice, this clause might specify which members, departments, or units are included in the lower division and outline the particular rules, benefits, or obligations that apply to them. Its core function is to ensure clear differentiation and management of roles or entitlements within the organization, thereby preventing confusion and promoting orderly administration.
Lower Division. 1. A master's degree in the subject matter to be taught or a master's degree in any field with a minimum of thirty (30) quarter hours of graduate credit in the primary teaching assignment. To qualify for a second teaching field, the candidates will be expected to have a minimum of twenty-four (24) quarter hours of graduate credit in the second teaching area.
2. Under certain circumstances the College recognizes that there are areas where individuals have demonstrated their competencies and served in professional fields with distinction yet do not possess the master's degree. Representative of such areas might well be the performing arts, foreign languages, government services, and recreational sports. Under such circumstances the appropriate Vice President will provide the President with the necessary documentation to support that the individual has demonstrated the proficiencies which would reflect a high level of competency in the field.

Lower Division. Credit Courses‑‑1 unit for each unit of earned credit. Prior approval of the Class Advancement committee is required for all work in this category. Courses that are normally taught by the instructor or coursework taken as part of their earned degree or are qualified to teach are generally not approved for credit. Credit is generally approved for areas of new technology, new techniques, or will be used to enhance curriculum, etc.
