Low Census Call. A nurse who has been scheduled for a shift who is 5 notified prior to the shift not to report to work as scheduled or who is sent home after the 6 beginning of a scheduled shift may be placed on call for low census during the scheduled 7 shift and may be required to report to work should the work load change. A nurse placed 8 on call for low census will be paid the standby call rate set forth in Appendix A for hours 9 spent on call for low census. In addition, if required to report to work from this call status, 10 the nurse shall be paid time and one-half the nurse’s base rate of pay plus any applicable 11 shift differential with a minimum of two hours at such rate for hours actually worked, 12 except that premium pay will stop when the nurse’s previously scheduled shift starts.
