Local Provision. Applied Language Solutions will maintain high levels of service irrespective of geographical location. We have achieved this throughout our police contracts across the North West of England and can therefore present evidence of how this has been managed as follows: We have developed our own geo location software which shows Service Delivery Managers the whereabouts of interpreters within a specified area, allowing the closest and most appropriate interpreter to be assigned to a job. In the event that an interpreter is not available within the direct area, the Service Delivery Manager can extend the distance over which the system can locate the next available interpreter with the right skills and experience for the assignment. An added benefit of this software is increased efficiency when booking appointments. Our team is able to easily identify appointments booked by area and interpreter, so as and when appointment requests are received they can quickly identify other interpreters with appointments in the same area (including those at nearby Authority sites) and assign them accordingly, provided they are the most appropriate for the assignment and meet the criteria given by the requester. In the event that an interpreter is not available within the direct area, the Service Delivery Manager will use our geo-coding software to locate the next available interpreter with the right skills and experience for the assignment. No matter the location of the next available/appropriate linguist, the Authority's will not be libel to pay any travel costs or expenses.
