Line Assignments. A. Engine & Truck Companies: One continuous year. B. Hazardous Incident Response Team (▇▇▇▇): Two continuous years upon completion of requisite training to the Technician level or equivalent. (TA 9/03/03) Exceptions: Personnel who have previously met the two year commitment and have maintained “HazMat” technical certification shall only be required to make a full one year commitment upon a reassignment to ▇▇▇▇. In the event an employee assigned to the ▇▇▇▇ has not been trained to at least the HazMat Technician level within the first twelve (12) months of his/her assignment, that employee shall be released from the two (2) year commitment. Any other exception must be approved by the Chief and/or his authorized designee.
