Common use of Limited Licenses Clause in Contracts

Limited Licenses. (a) Recipient (on behalf of itself and its controlled Affiliates) hereby grants to Provider a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable license, with the right to grant sublicenses to its Affiliates and its and their subcontractors during the Service Periods, under the Intellectual Property owned or controlled by Recipient, solely to the extent necessary for Provider and its Affiliates and its and their subcontractors to perform the Transition Services hereunder for the benefit of Recipient during the applicable Services Period.
