Common use of Liberal leave Clause in Contracts

Liberal leave. When an emergency condition is declared and liberal leave is announced for non-temporary, non-emergency essential employees, such employees may be absent for a portion of the workday or the entire workday; such absence will be charged to accrued annual, personal or compensatory leave, or leave without pay, if appropriate, for the period of absence. The employee is required to notify the Employer of the intention to take leave in such situations.
