Common use of Liability Protection Clause in Contracts

Liability Protection. The City shall defend and indemnify the Director against and for any and all demands, claims, suits, actions and legal proceedings brought against them in their official capacity or personally for acts performed within the scope of their employment to the extent and only to the extent authorized by the Wisconsin Statutes in effect at the time of the act complained of and as may be provided by any City insurance coverage for employees at such time.
