Level Three – School Board. If the superintendent's decision does not resolve the grievance to the satisfaction of the grievant, the decision may be appealed to the school board within ten (10) days after the verified receipt of the answer in Level 2. The grievant shall have the right to appear before the board to present evidence and argument for the board's consideration. The decision of the board shall be made and transmitted in writing to the grievant no later than twenty (20) days from the time of submission of the grievance to the board.
Level Three – School Board a. If a grievance involves a permissive subject of bargaining not covered by the collective bargaining agreement, the aggrieved person, if not satisfied with the Superintendent's disposition of the grievance at Level Two, may appeal the grievance to the Board of Directors of the District. Such appeal shall be made in writing within five (5) days after a decision by the Superintendent, or if no decision has been rendered by the Superintendent within ten (10) days, after the Superintendent's hearing. b. The appeal shall include a copy of the original grievance; the decisions rendered by the principal or immediate supervisor or other administrator and by the Superintendent; a clear, concise statement of the reasons for the appeal; and the specific relief requested. c. The Board of Directors shall hold a hearing on the appeal not later than its second regular meeting following the filing of the notice of appeal from the Superintendent's decision. d. If the Board finds that it cannot reach a proper decision on the record, it may reopen the record for the taking of additional evidence. The Board shall allow time for oral argument by the parties in interest, or their representatives. e. The Board shall render its decision in writing to the parties in interest not later than fifteen (15) days after the close of the hearing. The decision of the Board shall be final and binding on the parties.
Level Three – School Board a. If the grieving employee is not satisfied with the disposition of his grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within ten (10) days after the grievance was delivered to the Superintendent, he shall within five (5) days after a decision by the Superintendent or fifteen (15) days after the grievance was delivered to the Superintendent request in writing a hearing by the Board at the next regular meeting. Providing a minimum of ten (10) days elapses before the next regular meeting, a hearing will be held by the Board of a committee of the Board at that meeting. b. Within ten (10) days of the hearing, the Board shall inform the grieving employee and bargaining agent of their decision and shall provide same with a written statement of the reason for the decision.
Level Three – School Board a. If the grieving employee(s) is not satisfied with the disposition of his/her/their grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within ten (10) days after the grievance was delivered to the superintendent, he/she/they shall, within five (5) days after a decision by the superintendent or fifteen (15) days after the grievance was delivered to the superintendent, request in writing, a hearing by the Board at the next regular meeting. Providing a minimum of ten (10) days elapses before the next regular meeting, a hearing will be held by the Board of a committee of the Board at that meeting. b. Within ten (10) days of the hearing, the Board shall inform the grieving employee(s) and the Association of its decision and shall provide same with a written statement of the reason for the decision.

If the member is not satisfied with the disposition of his grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within eight (8) days after the grievance was delivered to the Superintendent, the grievant shall, within five (5) days after a decision was delivered to the Superintendent, request in writing a hearing by the Board. The Board or a committee of the Board shall conduct a hearing no later than fifteen (15) days after receiving the request, providing the grievance has not been resolved. b. Within five (5) days following the next regularly scheduled school board meeting after the hearing, the Board shall inform the grieving member and bargaining agent of its decision and shall provide same with a written statement of the reason for the decision.
Level Three – School Board. If the grievance is not resolved to the employee's satisfaction at Level Two, he/she no later than five (5) school days after receipt of the Superintendent's decision, may request a review by the Board. The request shall be submitted in writing directed to the Superintendent of Schools and shall include a statement by the grievant whether he/she requests a hearing on the grievance. The Superintendent of Schools shall attach all related papers and forward the request to the Board. The Board, or a Committee thereof, shall review the grievance and shall, at the option of the Board, or upon request of the grievant, hold a hearing with the employee and render a decision in writing directed to the grievant and the Association within twenty (20) calendar days of receipt of the grievance by the Board, or of the hearing with the employee, whichever comes later.
Level Three – School Board. If the grievance is not resolved to the employee's satisfaction, he/she no later than five (5) school days after receipt of the Superintendent's decision, may request a review by the Board. Level Three – School Board a. If the grievant is not satisfied with the level two decision, the grievant may submit the level three grievance to the Clerk of the School Board within ten (10) days of receiving the level two decision. b. The School Board shall convene a hearing with the grievant at the next regular School Board meeting unless said meeting will occur in less than ten (10) days. The hearing shall then be scheduled for the next succeeding School Board Meeting or for a special School Board meeting. The School Board decision will be final.

Within five (5) days of the receipt of the appeal, the School District Board of Directors will notify all official parties of a hearing to be held within ten (10) days of the receipt of the appeal. b. The Board of Directors shall hear arguments of the Superintendent and the aggrieved. c. Within five (5) days following the hearing, the School Board of Directors shall render a decision in writing to all official parties.
