Leave Transfer Program. The Agency agrees to continue its Voluntary Leave Transfer Program in accordance with law and regulation.
Leave Transfer Program. Fort Xxxxx has established a Leave Transfer Program under which the unused accrued annual leave of one Department of the Army employee may be transferred for use by another Department of the Army employee for use by a Department of the Army employee who needs such leave because of a medical emergency. The procedures governing the administration of this program are contained in Fort Xxxxx Regulation 690-3.
Leave Transfer Program. The Activity will administer the leave transfer program in accordance with public law and Navy Policy. Employees may transfer earned annual leave in increments of 1 or more hours to other employees with a personal or family medical emergency which is expected to last at least 24 hours without available paid leave. Leave donors and applicants shall submit applicable forms provided by the Activity.
Leave Transfer Program. The Employer will maintain a Leave Transfer Program (LTP). In order to participate in the Leave Transfer Program, an employee must be benefit eligible and have exhausted all of their PTO. Employees who would like to make a request to receive donated PTO time from their co-workers must have a situation that meets the following criteria: Medical emergency, defined as a medical condition of the employee or an immediate family member that will require the prolonged/extended absence of the employee from duty and will result in a substantial loss of income to the employee due to the exhaustion of all paid leave available. For the purposes of the Leave Transfer Program, an immediate family member is defined as a spouse, child, or parent. Major disaster, defined as a disaster declared by the president under §401 of the Xxxxxx X. Xxxxxxxx Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (the Xxxxxxxx Act), or as a major disaster or emergency declared by the president pursuant to 5 U.S.C. §6391 for federal government agencies. An employee is considered to be adversely affected by a major disaster if the disaster has caused severe hardship to the employee or to a family member of the employee that requires the employee to be absent from work.
Leave Transfer Program a. The parties agree to establish a Joint Committee within three (3) months of implementation of the Agreement. The Committee will develop strategies designed to promote and encourage DOL employee participation in the Leave Transfer Program. The Joint Committee will also evaluate the operation of the Program, including procedures used with respect to actual leave donated and instances of such leave being unused and forfeited.

Definitions related to family members must be in accordance with the OPM Fact Sheet “Definitions Related to Family Member and Immediate Relative for Purposes of Sick Leave, Funeral Leave, Voluntary Leave Transfer, Voluntary Leave Bank, and Emergency Leave Transfer” which is available on the OPM Website. As of March 2016, the content of the OPM Website contains the following definitions: Family Member An individual with any of the following relationships to the employee: 1. Spouse, and parents thereof; 2. Sons and daughters, and spouses thereof; 3. Parents, and spouses thereof; 4. Brothers and sisters, and xxxxxxx thereof; 5. Grandparents and grandchildren, and spouses thereof; 6. Domestic partner and parents thereof, including domestic partners of any individual in 2 through 5 of this definition; and 7. Any individual related by blood or affinity whose close association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship. Immediate Relative An individual with any of the following relationships to the employee: 1. Spouse, and parents thereof; 2. Sons and daughters, and spouses thereof; 3. Parents, and spouses thereof; 4. Brothers and sisters, and xxxxxxx thereof; 5. Grandparents and grandchildren, and spouses thereof; 6. Domestic partner and parents thereof, including domestic partners of any individual in 1 through 5 of this definition; and 7. Any individual related by blood or affinity whose close association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship.
Leave Transfer Program. The Voluntary Leave Transfer Program is designed to provide the transfer of annual leave for medical or family emergencies or other hardship situations to other federal employees. All applicable laws and regulations governing such leave will be incorporated into this agreement.
