Leave Replacement. Faculty may be appointed to replace a tenured faculty member on approved leave for the duration of the leave under the terms described in section e below. (See also 5.12) This section does not pertain to faculty whose positions are nontenurable under RCW 28B.50.851(2)(b).

Leave Replacement a substitute for an employee who is on an approved, contractual leave of more than thirty (30) consecutive work days. A leave replacement employee shall receive full salary, retroactive to the first day of the position, and benefits beginning the thirtieth (30th) work day.
