Common use of LEAD-BASED PAINT Clause in Contracts

LEAD-BASED PAINT. Pursuant to the Lead-Safe Schools Protection Act (Education Code Section 32240 et seq.) and other applicable law, no lead-based paint, lead plumbing and solders, or other potential sources of lead contamination shall be utilized on this Project, and only trained and state-certified contractors, inspectors and workers shall undertake any action to xxxxx existing risk factors for lead. Pursuant to the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations part 745 (40 CFR 745)), all contractors who disturb lead-based paint in a six- square-foot area or greater indoors or a 20-square-foot area outdoors must be trained by an EPA- accredited provider and certified by the EPA. Contractor must execute the Lead-Based Paint Certification, if applicable.
