Laydown; Staging Area Clause Samples

The "Laydown; Staging Area" clause defines the requirements and procedures for designating and using specific areas on a project site for the temporary storage and organization of materials, equipment, or tools. Typically, this clause outlines the location, permitted uses, and any restrictions or responsibilities related to the staging area, such as maintaining order, ensuring safety, and restoring the area after use. Its core function is to ensure efficient site logistics and minimize disruptions by clearly allocating space and responsibilities for material handling during the course of a project.
Laydown; Staging Area. Purchaser shall provide, at no cost to Seller, one or more temporary laydown areas equal to (i) at least seventy five percent (75%) of the area receiving canopy for a canopy System or (ii) at least twenty five percent (25%) of the rooftop square footage, located on ground level, for rooftop Systems, in each case designated as laydown area for Seller’s use for the storage of equipment, facilities and materials to be incorporated into the System, along with any installation and testing equipment and materials to be used in the installation or testing of the System. If any such areas are permitted and authorized by Purchaser, Schedule 3 (Project Site) shall designate such areas. Seller acknowledges that its use of such areas is at its own risk and that Purchaser shall not be responsible or liable for any Loss that Seller, its Subcontractors or other Persons sustains in connection with its or their use of such areas. Seller shall keep all temporary laydown areas clean and orderly and shall restore them to their original condition.
