Late Notification of Emergent Inpatient Hospital Admissions. If the Contractor receives late notification from participating hospitals of emergent hospital admissions because of the participating hospital’s inability to identify the patient’s HMO due to extenuating circumstances, the Contractor may require proof from the participating hospital that it could not identify the patient through eligibility verification or because of the medical condition of the patient.
