Language policy. All courses at SLU, ULS, MATE, BOKU and UMIL are taught in English, courses at UPV are taught in Spanish. ULS offer Spanish courses to prepare students who go to the UPV for a B1/B2 level for their stay. SLU and MATE can inform the students about external institutions where to take Spanish courses. All partners offer local language and culture courses to promote their academic success and facilitate their social and cultural integration. For students enrolled at ULS, to obtain the emPLANT+ corresponding Master’s degree, all students must obtain a B1 level in French. Courses of French language are offered at ULS during the whole year as well as an official test at the end of the year. But ULS encourages the students to start learning basic French before coming (especially if you come only for the 2nd year, basic French is mandatory before coming).

Art. 5 Performance monitoring and evaluation Students will follow the assessment procedures of the partner universities they attend. Student performance will be assessed through oral and written examinations, including written reports, oral presentations and practical reports. All activities will be graded according to the national grading scale and the ECTS grading scale Each semester, students will complete a self-evaluation questionnaire in which they will report on their acquired knowledge and skills, as well as their academic and personal satisfaction. The defence of the thesis will take place in accordance with local regulations and the common procedure approved by all the partner universities. The PlantHealth Board will define specific options for the thesis defence, subject to the regulations of the partner universities.

Upon successful completion of the required 120 ECTS, the student will obtain a Double Degree, incl. Diploma Supplement, from the Partner Institutions according to the agreed mobility track.

Language policy. All NHA Trips are conducted in English. Guests participating in an NHA Trip must have a proficient understanding of the English language in order to fully enjoy all aspects of the Trip and, most importantly, to fully understand all rules and safety instructions provided by the Expedition Leader(s), Local Guide(s) or other individuals facilitating the Trip. NHA is unable to provide translated pre-Trip materials or translators during the Trip. Additionally, NHA reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to prohibit any Guest from joining or continuing on a Trip if that Guest’s language limitations pose or could pose a threat to their safety or enjoyment, or that of other Guests or staff, or the safety of wildlife. Should a Guest not be permitted to join a Trip or be asked to leave a Trip in progress, there will be no refund of any portion of the Trip price, used or unused, beyond that which is listed in our cancellation policy, nor will NHA be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the Guest as a result of their dismissal. Firearm Policy Guests are prohibited from bringing, carrying or utilizing any type of firearm on all NHA Trips. On certain Trips, Expedition Leader(s) and/or Local Guide(s) may carry firearms for safety purposes only. Please ask an Adventure Specialist for more information.
Language policy. The Partners agree on the following language policy as a way to combine efficiency of instruction in English with learning and practice of other European languages. • All courses and examinations shall be taken in English, which shall be the com- mon language of instruction. Prospective students shall be adequately informed about this and asked to provide objective evidence of English proficiency as a condition for being enrolled. • The Master thesis may be written in English or in the language of the European country where the student spends the third term. Language policy. The language policy was developed, and it applies to the Board and all employees of Bloem Water, the public and stakeholders. The purpose is to promote equality of all languages in the provision of services and information and to comply with the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Act No.108 of 1996) and the Use of Official Languages Act, 2012 (Act No. 12 of 2012).
