Common use of Laboratory Animals Clause in Contracts

Laboratory Animals. If vertebrate animals are used in the conduct of the work supported by this Agreement, the Contractor shall comply with the Laboratory Animal Welfare Act of 1966, as amended (7 USC 2131 et. seq.) and the regulations promulgated thereunder by the Secretary of Agriculture pertaining to the care, handling and treatment of vertebrate animals held or used in research supported by Federal funds. The Contractor will comply with the HHS Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals by Awardee Institutions and the U.S. Government Principles for the Utilization and Care of Vertebrate Animals Used in Testing, Research and Training.
