The Labor Conventions clause establishes the requirement for parties to comply with applicable labor laws, standards, and international conventions related to employment practices. Labor Conventions. Subject to the prior approval of the City, time off without pay may be granted without discrimination or loss of seniority rights to any employee designated by the Union to attend a labor convention, provided forty-eight (48) hours' written notice is given to the City by the Union, specifying the purpose of the time off and the length of time off desired.
