Common use of LABOR AND MATERIALS Clause in Contracts

LABOR AND MATERIALS. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, the CONTRACTOR shall provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment and machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation and other facilities and services necessary for the proper execution and completion of the work, whether temporary or permanent and whether or not incorporated or to be incorporated into the work. The CONTRACTOR shall at all times enforce strict discipline and good order among his employees and shall not employ on the work site any unfit person or anyone not skilled in the task assigned to him. The rate of progress shall be such that the whole work shall be performed and the premises cleaned up in accordance with the Contract within the working time established in the Contract, unless an extension of time is made in the manner hereinafter specified.
