Jurisprudence. Jurisprudence refers to the body or system of laws, or the science of law. A court is defined as a place where justice is administered, a place where the function of jurisprudence is designed to determine innocence or guilt. Under the concept of freedom, a person should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
