Joint Study Committees. The parties may appoint joint ad hoc study committees to research, study and develop reports and to make recommendations on matters under consideration. Such committees shall operate under procedures approved by parties involved and report findings directly to them.

Joint Study Committees. Joint Study Committees (JSC) may be established by mutual agreement of Association and Employer to investigate topics of mutual interest.
Joint Study Committees. A. A joint study committee of three members named by the County and three members named by PCEA will be established to study and determine the effectiveness and impact of various proposed shift plans and alternate schedules. The study will begin on September 1, 2017. A report of the committee's findings and recommendations will be submitted to the vendor contracted to perform a Staffing Analysis for the 9-1-1 dispatch function within the Office of Homeland Security/Public Safety Communications for consideration in the Vendor's study. In addition, the President of the PCEA, the Deputy Director of Public Safety, and the Director of Homeland Security will receive a copy of the committee's report. Action items agreed upon by all committee members, and certified to be cost neutral by OMB, will be memorialized in a side letter. Neither side gives up its right to submit the items to negotiations during collective bargaining.
Joint Study Committees. A. A Joint Study Committee, consisting of the DSA, the Sheriff and the Office of Human Resources Management, will be established to examine the current promotional selection process with the objective of having the Sheriff interview and consider as many qualified bargaining unit members as possible for promotional vacancies. Committee recommendations will be made to the Sheriff who will have the discretion to accept the recommendations, reject the recommendations or accept them with modifications.
Joint Study Committees. During the life of this Agreement, the Employer and Local 504 of the I.A.F.F. shall establish a physical fitness committee consisting of two (2) Union representatives, one (1) of which shall be the President; and two (2) Employer representatives, one (1) of which shall be the Director of Public Safety. This committee shall explore methods and procedures to promote physical fitness amongst Bargaining Unit Members. More committee members may be added by mutual agreement between the parties.
