Inverter Testing Sample Clauses
Inverter Testing. (A) The Contractor shall ensure that for each Project that incorporates an inverter or inverters with an ON switch, all Project disconnects are in the CLOSED position prior to turning on the inverter. For inverters that do not incorporate an ON switch, the Project shall be turned on when all Project disconnects are in the CLOSED position.
(B) The Contractor shall perform all tests required by the inverter manufacturer specifications. The steps in the inverter operational test will include, but not be limited to:
i. Ensuring that the inverter is switched off before proceeding;
ii. Testing and recording the AC line voltage at the inverter to ensure that it is within the proper limits as stated by the manufacturer;
iii. Testing that the phase sequencing is correct, if applicable;
iv. Checking the continuity of all fuses;
v. Ensuring that the DC open-circuit voltage is within the manufacturer’s recommended range at the DC disconnect;
vi. If the DC voltage is correct, closing the inverter cover and closing the DC and AC disconnect switches;
vii. After the manufacturer’s specified start-up time, confirming that the inverter is operating by recording the DC operating voltage and string currents, AC phase voltages and phase currents and inverter power;
viii. Closing all open equipment enclosures; and
ix. Listening for, finding the cause of, and remedying any unusual sounds from the PV system or its components.
