Common use of Invalidity; Severability Clause in Contracts

Invalidity; Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is or becomes illegal or invalid it shall not affect the legality and validity of the other provisions. The Parties shall in good faith amend and if necessary novate this Agreement to reflect as nearly as possible the spirit and intention behind the illegal or invalid provision to the extent that such spirit and intention is consistent with the laws of the jurisdiction and so that the amended clause complies with such laws.
