Introductory Training Premium a. If a Driver is assigned to provide introductory training to a person who has been newly hired or promoted into the Driver classification, during the trainee’s first three days as a Driver, the trainer will be paid an introductory training premium of seventy ($0.70) per hour effective September 26, 2020. b. If a Sorter is assigned to provide introductory training to a person who has been newly hired into the Sorter classification, during the trainee’s first 2 days as a Sorter, the trainer will be paid an introductory training premium of fifty cents ($0.50) per hour for the hours spent training. c. The training premium is applied is a situation whereby an individual is new to the sorter classification regardless of whether they are a new hire (including agency or casual employee), or a transfer from another classification
