Intersession. The period between the fall and spring semesters in the month of January each year will be allocated for Intersession classes. If classes are scheduled during this Intersession period, the following conditions shall apply:
Intersession. The period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day will continue to be observed as time off with pay whenever a University-wide intersession is declared. Employees who are required to work during such period shall be granted compensatory time off with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the employee and the supervisor within the same contract year as the intersession. Total time off with pay (intersession time off and/or compensatory time off in lieu thereof) for any given intersession will be the same for all full-time employees, regardless of their work schedule during the intersession.
Intersession. Instructors in Computer Science and Computer Graphics with a full (100%) workload will not be required to teach an intersession course in the May – June period.
Intersession. Instructors in Computer Science and Computer Graphics with a full (100%) 35 NIC/NICFA Collective Agreement workload will not be required to teach an intersession course in the May – June period.
Intersession. Any additional hours required by intersession shall be posted and offered in the same manner as at non‐YRE sites.
Intersession. Employees with fifteen (15) or more years of service will earn five (5) weeks of vacation in any year that an intersession is not scheduled.
Intersession. 2 Members providing intersession service shall be included within the SMEEA bargaining 3 unit. The status quo will continue regarding the terms and conditions of employment for 4 such employees until any negotiated changes between the Association and the District, 5 and that intersession teachers who are not otherwise regularly employed as certificated 6 employees by the District shall not receive health and welfare benefits pursuant to this 7 Agreement.
Intersession. A kindergarten teacher who teaches both the morning and the afternoon sessions of half day kindergarten shall have a forty (40) minute duty-free period between sessions provided the administration can arrange the schedule consistent with other requirements.
Intersession. Unit members will be given the first opportunity to fill intersession certificated positions as described by Article 9.1.5 for which they are credentialed and qualified.
Intersession. Vacancies shall be advertised within the school along with a deadline for submission of applications. Those employees whose current assignment is the same as the advertised vacancy shall be given priority in filling the available position. In the event that two (2) or more employees are equally qualified, seniority shall be the determining factor in the selection process.
