Interconnection Relaying Sample Clauses

The Interconnection Relaying clause defines the requirements and responsibilities for protective relaying systems at the point where two electrical networks are interconnected. Typically, this clause specifies the types of relays to be installed, their settings, and the coordination necessary to detect faults and isolate sections of the network to prevent damage or widespread outages. By establishing clear standards for relaying, the clause ensures reliable operation and safety of interconnected power systems, minimizing the risk of equipment failure and service interruptions.
Interconnection Relaying. Interconnection Customer shall not energize, or de-energize, Transmission Provider’s equipment. The necessary control devices shall be installed by Interconnection Customer on the Generating Facility to prevent the energization of de-energized Transmission Provider’s equipment by Generating Facility. Transmission Provider shall have relaying on the bus segment at the Point of Interconnection, and Interconnection Customer must insure that its Generating Facility is disconnected from the Transmission System whenever the bus segment at the Point of Interconnection is de-energized. Transmission Provider may re- energize the bus segment by remote control and Transmission Provider shall not be responsible for damage to Generating Facility due to an out of phase condition during re-energization.
Interconnection Relaying. Applicant shall not energize, or de-energize, GTC’s equipment. The necessary control devices shall be installed by Applicant on the Generating Facility to prevent the energization of de- energized GTC’s equipment by Generating Facility. GTC shall have relaying at the Point of Interconnection, and Applicant must insure that its generating facility is disconnected from the GTC Interconnection Facilities whenever the Point of Interconnection is de-energized. GTC may re-energize the Point of Interconnection by remote control and GTC shall not be responsible for damage to Generating Facility due to an out of phase condition during re-energization.
