Common use of INSPECTION AND PARTIAL PAYMENTS Clause in Contracts

INSPECTION AND PARTIAL PAYMENTS. Whenever the CONTRACTOR shall submit an Application for Payment to the OWNER for work performed by the CONTRACTOR, the CONTRACTOR shall notify the Engineer that the improvement is ready for inspection. The Engineer shall then make such inspection, and will have the authority to reject work that does not conform to the Contract Documents. If the work is satisfactory and in accordance with the specifications and Contract Documents, the Engineer shall issue a Certificate for Payment.
