PAYMENT FOR EXTRA WORK Sample Clauses
The "Payment for Extra Work" clause defines how compensation will be handled for work that falls outside the original scope of a contract. Typically, this clause outlines the process for identifying, approving, and valuing additional tasks or changes requested by one party, such as requiring written authorization before extra work begins and specifying how the cost will be calculated—whether by agreed rates, time and materials, or another method. Its core function is to ensure that any extra work performed is properly compensated and to prevent disputes over payment by establishing clear procedures and expectations.
