Common use of Initial Term; Renewal Clause in Contracts

Initial Term; Renewal. The term of this Agreement shall be an initial period of one (1) year, commencing on the date of the first above written. Unless terminated in accordance with Paragraph 8.2, this Agreement shall automatically renew for successive one (1) year periods without the necessity of any further notice or action on the part of either party hereto. (The period of effectiveness of this Agreement, including the initial period and any renewal period, is sometimes referred to herein as the “Term.”)
