Inhalation. Two concentrations of the test substance shall be used in this portion of the study, a low concentra- tion and a high concentration. The high concentration should ideally in- duce some overt toxicity, while the low concentration should correspond to a no observed level. Inhalation treat- ment should be conducted using a ‘‘nose-cone’’ or ‘‘head only’’ apparatus to prevent ingestion of the test sub- stance through ‘‘grooming’’.
