Individual and Organizational Performance Planning. A. At the beginning of the review cycle, the supervisor and employee will meet for a discussion of the job-specific expectations for performance. The purpose of this meeting is to jointly clarify how the competencies apply within the work environment so that there is a common understanding about the Agency's expectations for performance. At this time, the employee will receive a copy of the critical element, which consists of the four core competency areas, and will sign the Annual Proficiency Rating Form to acknowledge receipt.
