Common use of Independent Status of Contractor Clause in Contracts

Independent Status of Contractor. In the performance of this Master Agreement, the parties will be acting in their individual, corporate or governmental capacities and not as agents, employees, partners, joint venturers, or associates of one another. The parties intend that an independent contractor relationship will be created by this Master Agreement. The employees or agents of one party shall not be deemed or construed to be the employees or agents of the other party for any purpose whatsoever. Contractor shall not make any claim of right, privilege or benefit which would accrue to an employee.
