HURRICANES. In the event of a hurricane, please note that there will be no refund for early departure unless a mandatory hurricane evacuation is ordered by the local authorities. Voluntary evacuation is not the same as a mandatory evacuation and is not grounds for a refund. If an evacuation is not ordered by local authorities (even if a storm is approaching and the weather is expected to deteriorate), the reservation stands. Rainy and windy conditions as a result of a "neighboring" storm (neighboring is defined as a hurricane that may come close and may cause wind and rain, but will not directly impact the area or endanger anyone's safety) are no grounds for cancelation and the reservation stands. If a mandatory evacuation is ordered by local authorities, guests must immediately vacate the property - No Exceptions. In this event, we will help guests in any way possible. However, alternate accommodations will not be provided. A refund will be issued for the vacated nights due to the mandatory evacuation. Once the local authorities permit, you may return to the rental property, assuming it suffered no damages. Reservations may be moved to different dates or a different available property in our inventory if desired. Please note that if the property you rented is located in an area which was recently affected by a hurricane, but the property itself incurred no damages, the reservation stands. However, if the property is uninhabitable, guests may select alternate, future dates for the same property, once it is restored, or they may move their reservation to a different property, of equal value, within our inventory. Travel insurance is recommended, particularly if reserving during hurricane season. EARLY DEPARTURES No refunds will be offered for voluntary early departures. If a guest is displeased with something in the property, they must notify our staff immediately so that we may investigate the situation and determine if it should wait for guest departure or should be corrected immediately. If the issue prohibits guests from staying at the property, we will make every effort to relocate guests to a comparable, local property. If a comparable property is unavailable, guests will be immediately refunded. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Late check-out and early check-in is based on availability and must be PRE-APPROVED. HURRICANES. In the event of a hurricane watch or warning posted in our area within a week of your scheduled arrival, we will reschedule or issue a full refund (less credit card fees), your choice. Except as provided in the preceding sentence, you agree there are no refunds or reductions in the cost of any charter as a result of bad weather.
HURRICANES. In case of a hurricane warning, consideration will be given to those employees (classifications required to work during the hurricane) to take steps to secure their families, homes and personal property in accordance with the Miami-Dade County Hurricane Preparedness Manual.
HURRICANES. In the event that the Galveston-Houston area is put under a hurricane watch or hurricane warning by the United States Weather Service, Licensee shall, without any requirement of notification by BHA, remove any vessel moored in a boat slip on "A", "B", or "C" piers and store such vessel at a location other than Bal Harbour or, if space is available, in a vacant boat slip in the "D" or "E" pier areas of Bal Harbour canals for the duration of any such hurricane watch or hurricane warning. In the event that a hurricane warning is issued for the Galveston-Houston area and Licensee has failed or refused to remove the vessel moored in the boat slip, BHA shall have the right, but no obligation, to move such vessel to a location (on land or in water) selected by BHA at Licensee's sole cost, expense and risk. Licensee hereby releases BHA, in such circumstances, from any claims of whatever kind which Licensee may have due to any damage or loss of the vessel.
HURRICANES. In the event that a hurricane warning is in effect for Andros Island or an evacuation is ordered at the time you are to depart for your vacation you will receive a full refund of your deposit. If you have arrived at the Property and then vacate you will be charged pro-rata for the time spent at the Property.
HURRICANES. If the employer requires employees to remain in an area where a hurricane evacuation has been ordered, the employer shall provide safe and adequate shelter, food and safety equipment.
a. If the Employer chooses to evacuate employees while requiring them to continue working, the Employer shall provide adequate lodging until such time that it is safe to return to the evacuated area.
b. The Employer may request, but shall not require, volunteers to house other McClatchy employees during hurricane coverage without compensation. There shall be no discipline, or other adverse consequences of any manner, for employees who decline such a request. Incremental food expenses associated with such volunteer housing may be submitted to the Company for reimbursement as a business expense. In all instances the Employer will provide as much advance notice as possible.
c. In accordance with past practice, it is agreed that employees will work with editors to define a reasonable work schedule prior to these events and allow for adequate time off after the storm has passed.
d. The Employer will meet with employees and update the base hurricane plan including assignments, embedding information and expectations each year no later than July 1.
HURRICANES. The University of Miami, Coral Gables Campus is located in a Storm Surge (Hurricane Evacuation) Zone. Evacuation of the Coral Gables Campus is expected for Category 3 and greater hurricanes. For Category 1 and 2 hurricanes, evacuation is highly encouraged due to the lack of resources available in the area as well as the likeliness of loss of power and internet. The University of Miami will seek to make a closure and evacuation decision for the Coral Gables Campus approximately 72 hours before the anticipated arrival of tropical storm force winds. When an evacuation is ordered, interns must immediately take action and follow the evacuation plan as instructed. The University will provide as much notice as possible to allow interns to implement their evacuation plans.
HURRICANES. When a tropical storm or hurricane is expected to make landfall near the Coral Gables campus, the University will determine whether residential students may shelter in place within campus housing or if a full evacuation will be required. This decision will be based on the forecasted strength and severity of the storm. University Village residents will be required to vacate University Village and relocate during the storm if the forecast or potential intensity is a category 1 or 2 hurricane. If the UV resident is unable to relocate, the University will provide a space for them during the storm. If the forecast or potential intensity of the storm is category 3 or higher, all residential students will be required to evacuate campus. Detailed relocation procedures will be communicated to students in advance, including information on preparation and designated relocation site.
HURRICANES. If you are unable to depart for the Property because of a hurricane warning being in effect, your Rent and Deposit shall be refunded to you. If you are required to leave the Island because of a hurricane warning, you shall be entitled to a refund based on the unused portion of the Term
HURRICANES.
