Hospital Allowance Clause Samples
A Hospital Allowance clause defines a fixed daily or per-visit payment made to an insured individual when they are admitted to a hospital. This payment is typically provided regardless of the actual medical expenses incurred and is often used to help cover incidental costs such as transportation, meals, or lost income during hospitalization. The core function of this clause is to offer financial support to policyholders during hospital stays, addressing out-of-pocket expenses that may not be covered by standard health insurance.
Hospital Allowance. We will pay You for each full day of Your confinement to hospital as an in-patient during the Trip, in addition to the fees, charges or expenses payable under Benefit 1.

24.5 Leading Hand Allowance
(a) An employee other than one whose classification encompasses supervision of other employees will be paid the prescribed allowance, in addition to the ordinary wage, for each shift the employee works when rostered on to be in charge for that shift.
(b) An employee who is not rostered on to be in charge will be paid the prescribed allowance for the whole of the shift if the employee is placed in charge for more than 2 hours on that shift.

Hospital Allowance. These allowances ceases to exist effective 1 August 2007 as it has been absorbed into the weekly wage rates. No additional Hospital Allowance will be payable from this date. Any Hospital Allowance paid post 1 August 2007 will be calculated and offset against pay increases.
